Right: Playing duets with my Grandma Audrey, July 2006

Below: Same piano, same gradma, same dress--three years later.  (Different dog.)

Me on Gold Rush at Trout Creek, Oregon May 2004--about 18 months after having my S1, L5, and L4 vertebrae fused to correct a spondylolisthesis (which I had either caused or at least greatly exacerbated by falling 30 feet unroped while descending Mt. Stuart in the North Cascades some years earlier).  My undying gratitude goes out to genius neurosurgeon Stephen Ritland of Flagstaff, AZ.

Same trip, camping on the beach

Tony bouldering near our campsite...

Hiking a little closer to home (about 10 miles away) with our friend, Neve.

Also close to home (about a 25 minute drive): the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. September, 2008.

I stone lizard-mosaic walkway I made for a friend in Flagstaff (with Pete for scale).

Helping out for a few days in a friend's new flower shop, September 2004

Our super-cool rented house in the country (starting December 15, 2007 and ending on August 15, 2008), nicely accessorized by our favorite house guest, Dasi the Wonder Aussie.  (She's on loan from a friend for a while.)  This place is on 10 acres, is built out of AAC (see links page), and came with 7 prolific chickens.  It ROCKS!

The lovely and generous Chicken Girls of Timland Lane.
